Blank Days

March 04, 20251 min read

Do you take quiet time?

Away from people, tasks, stimuli, distractions?

I spent time with an old friend this weekend, where reflections of past futures were being presented to me. Of lives I used to want - do you know that feeling? That letter to your past self in real life happening around you.

Connection is so important, particularly for women, in nurturing and nourishing our tasks, our outlook, our own sense of self.

So is self-reflection time. To hear your thoughts. So you know if you are in alignment with your action.

blank day

I spent two hours wandering the Botanic Gardens of Glasgow, and allowed the thoughts to flow in a way I haven't in a while. To just let them be without catching them or organising them or moving them forward in another project.

That is why I schedule blank days; and this most recent one, is why I am making them a non-negotiable in my calendar again.

What could you explore, with just 2 hours? Who could you be, afterwards?

Most importantly friend, how calm, could you feel?

Before taking another step, in the true direction.
